Online Reputation Management
Online Reputation Management. What is it?
Online Reputation management is the practice of attempting to influence public perception of a person or organization by creating, shaping and promoting online information about that entity.
Initially, ORM involved monitoring the reputation of an individual or a brand on the web, addressing content which is potentially damaging to it, and using customer feedback solutions such as Radian6 to get warning signals to reputation problems. this was mostly done via interactions in social media.
Today, most of online reputation management is focused on pushing down negative search results. This new form of ORM is called Search Engine Reputation Management.
